What is a virtual event platform?
Think of Second Stage as your event’s venue. This platform functions as a hotel, hosting your mainstage presentations, attendee Q & A sessions, luncheon, and so much more!
Do you offer polling?
We offer live polling! Event admins can either create them in advance, or on the spot! They can be launched any time.
Does Second Stage have gamification?
We believe in providing organic ways for attendees to engage with the content. We don’t offer leaderboards or games, but we do provide sponsors/exhibitors and admins with the tools to do this.
How can attendees engage with one another?
You decide which engagement methods you’d prefer to use! The admins can toggle on/off the following: live group chat, 1:1 chat, breakout style.
What analytics do you offer?
Anything you’d like tracked, we can do! We understand what metrics are important to you up front, and then we can provide custom analytic reports.
Can I customize Second Stage to my brand?
Second Stage is fully customizable, from font, to color, to layout – make the experience an extension of your brand
What is the timeline for setting up a platform?
If there is any custom development, we like to suggest 6 weeks! Otherwise, 3-5 weeks is ideal for most event planners depending on the size of the show.
What is your project management process?
We can be as little or as much involved as you’d prefer. Our best practice: a kickoff call, followed by weekly or biweekly calls, and day-of support. Based on our discovery conversations, we can help put your event together on the platform, or you can create it all on your own!
What is Second Stage’s attendee capacity?
Limitless! Second Stage is optimized to facilitate gatherings of all types.
Does Zoom embed into Second Stage?
We have an in-platform video conferencing tool that can live inside the platform, with all of the same capabilities as Zoom. If you like, we can also provide the Zoom link in the platform.
Can I start a session prior to the start time?
For live sessions, the video player will become visible 30 minutes before the published start time. We’ve built it this way to allow for pre-show slides/content to air on the page to get your attendees excited!
What is a platform used for?
It’s a place for your viewers to gather in a secure online environment – what they participate in or watch, is up to you!
What video players are embeddable?
Vimeo, Youtube Live, Wistia, Facebook, Streamable, Twitch, DailyMotion, Vidyard
How do you facilitate breakouts?
We have an in-platform conferencing tool that allows for up to 100 people to join a room together. This tool stays inside the platform! You can even have breakouts within a breakout room, all controllable by the admin.
Can participants have levels of access?
Through our authentication provider and information gathering at registration, we can set up specific access for attendees
Do you integrate with registration services?
We have a built-in API microsite that can be configured with registration providers.
Do you offer registration within the platform?
The enterprise plan offers registration as a managed service. Otherwise, every plan allows for the Event Admin(s) to upload attendees and exhibitors via csv file. You can also upload individual users as well.
What type of customer support if provided?
For your attendees, our team handles email support and live chat technical support. We pride ourselves on fast and efficient customer support. Our typical response time during live events is between 30 seconds – 3 minutes.
Can I use Second Stage for multiple events?
Yes! You can use the same URL for a year and publish new sessions there OR we can come up with package pricing if there will be different attendee groups for different events.
Can you develop custom features?
Ask us about the features you’d like for your platform — we might have it in our roadmap already!
What type of data security do we use?
Second Stage is compliant through user authentication and AWS: ISO27001, SOC 2 Type II, ISO27018, HIPAA BAA, Gold CSA STAR, PCI DSS Certification
How long is my event available?
Up to 365 days! You control how long you’d like to have it up whether it be 2 days or the full year!
